Eldersburg man hits high note as Barbershopper of the Year

David Desrosiers of Eldersburg was recently named as the Old Line Statesmen Barbershop Chorus’ Barbershopper of the Year.

Each year the Old Line chorus recognizes a member for outstanding service and accomplishments as a member of the chorus and the Mid-Atlantic District of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

The 2011 award was presented to Desrosiers at the annual Christmas and Installation of Officers banquet on Dec. 12 at VFW Post 467 in Westminster.

The Old Line Statesmen Chorus has performed a capella harmony in the county since 1982 and was the 2009 and 2010 Western Division Plateau A Championship Chorus for the Mid-Atlantic District of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
